FiberXtend, which is SmartAVI, Inc.’s new series of fiber optics extension solutions, gives consumers total freedom and flexibility when managing their home theater, industrial or professional systems. With the use of state-of-the-art fiber technology, system architects and serious home theater/HDTV managers now have the ability to lay out their systems the way they want – not hampered by bulky wires or cables. SmartAVI’s FiberXtend line is the cost-effective, cuttingedge, easy way to maintain and keep your high-definitional signals crystal-clear and your sound quality crisp and true.

The SmartAVI FX-HDPro is a point-to-point fiber optics bridge for long distance and virtually “invisible” integration of home theater, digital signage and other professional audio/video applications. The FX-HDPro has been designed to handle HDTV, infrared and RS-232 signals from high-definition components at distances up to 2,000 feet. This allows for full creative control over home theater design as well as digital signage deployment.

With the use of fishing line-thin fiber optics cabling, it is now possible to get rid of unsightly and bulky traditional component wiring that is also expensive and distance-restrictive in nature. Due to the advanced nature of fiber optics technology, the FX-HDPro carries the HDMI, IR and RS-232 control signals with absolutely zero compression and zero bit reduction, offering crystal-clear 1080p HDTV resolution, whether extended 10, 500, or 2,000 feet.

FX-HDPro is one of the latest products presented by SmartAVI as part of its new FiberXtend home theater/ professional application line of fiber optics-based extenders.
